Winter Weather Is Inevitable in Colorado (At Some Point)

Today is 55 degrees in Colorado! In looking at the weather app on my phone though, I see snow in the forecast for both Thursday and Saturday. This means one thing, winter weather is just around the corner for us.

There are four things that happen in winter:

  1. People need roadside assistance more.
  2. Collisions increase.
  3. Glass damage on vehicles goes up.
  4. Property claims including water mitigation rise with freezing temperatures.

To make this winter season easier for you, here are some resources to keep handy.

Roadside Assistance

Keep your roadside assistance number in your phone, wallet and car at all times. This way you’ll be prepared in case of a lock out to a tow and everything in between.

Collision and Glass Claims

Being that world is so digital today, I recommend taking a picture of your insurance card and this way you’ll always have the number to report an accidents or take care of any glass claims before they get worse. If you have Safeco insurance through us, they have a Guaranteed Repair Network for collision auto claims to more than 2,000 top-rated auto repair shops.

Property Claims

I hope you never have to experience this but winter property damage does definitely happen. An icy tree can fall, an ice dam can back up water and pipes and roofs can leak at the most unexpected times.

When you need a trusted contractor, our contractor referral program can help you out.

If you have water damage you’ll want to follow our water mitigation steps so that you can be toasty, warm, dry and back to daily life as you know it quickly.

No matter how and when winter shows up this year. Be safe, dry and prepared at all times.

Keeping you protected,

Rick
